Long standing and much respected member of our club, Harry Lord, sadly passed away on the morning of Sunday 4th July 2010. Our condolences and deepest sympathy are with Harry's family. Harry's presence at the club will be sorely missed. |

It has been a different week for the winner of the Mike Blows sponsored 2 Man Flush held on Sunday 13 Sep 09 at DVGC. Scoring 24 out of 25 targets was enough to see the successful pair take the trophy. Members should Log-in and check out the Results page to read more... |

Clubman Trophy Comes To DVGC!The Sporting Gun Clubman top trophy is on its way to DVGC. The Late Summer holiday on Monday 31 August 2009 saw a fantastic achievement by one of the members of DVGC. It was a great day for the club, and for one individual in particular. DGVC members should login and look in the Results page to find out more. |

I dont often do competitions in magazines so when I passed on Sporting Shooter to my friend Paul Twissel (also a club member) he entered a competion I had left blank. The prize was a day at the Holland & Holland shooting ground with some sporting shooting a nice lunch and as the event was sponsored by Balvenie whisky a free bottle of a limited edition malt. The prize was for one shooter and one non shooter. Paul has won the prize, one of ten people to win and his wife has said she will go with him to both watch and enjoy the hospitality. In future I will be entering all competions in magazines before I pass them on. Am I jealous of Paul... of course I am. |
